DETAILS of REFINEMENT

At Cardona Woodworks, our commitment to sustainability with artistic flair is the hallmark of our uniiquely handcrafted wooden treasures. Each one of our products goes through several stages of refinement to create a sculptural “rustico moderno” object with sound structure and beauty. The wood is carefully selected to showcase the unique grains, striations, knots and “noble rot” of spalted wood, bringing our products into the realm of natural art. Each piece also receives several hand-rubbings of various oils such as tongue, mineral and mink, to ensure a smooth, professional surface and food safe finishes.

All of our products are one-of-a-kind and handmade in our small shop in Virginia Beach, VA. We use a variety of woods including oak, mahogany, maple, clair walnut, cherry, ebony and more – much of which is sustainably harvested, recycled, organic or salvaged hardwoods.

CARE

Our novel items are thoughtfully built to last a lifetime. For upkeep and care of kitchen utensils and cutting boards, do not use in microwave or dishwasher. Hand wash with soap and water. For unfinished, natural wood products, gently rub with mineral oil to bring life back to the grain.
